Therapy + Psychiatry
Why Combined Care Is Often Most Effective
Research consistently shows that combining therapy with medication leads to better outcomes for many people, especially those experiencing depression or anxiety. Therapy helps you understand patterns, process experiences, and build long-term skills. Medication can reduce the severity of symptoms so you can engage more fully in that work.
A meta-analysis of 25 studies found that therapy + medication was more effective than medication alone in treating major depressive disorder—and that it reduced the likelihood of future depressive episodes.
If symptoms are mild, therapy alone may be enough. If symptoms are more persistent or interfere with daily functioning, adding medication can accelerate improvement. Your Rappore clinician will help you decide the right path based on your unique needs, goals, and Mental Health Fingerprint® results.
We’ll match you with an expert clinician and guide you toward the right therapy or psychiatry path.
